Dallas’ new slogan – “Live Large. Think Big.” – describes the essence and vitality of a city built on big dreams, freshly blazed trails and an attitude that all things are possible. There’s a whole “new” vibrant Dallas to enjoy—new entertainment districts, dining, shopping, hotels, arts and cultural attractions– with more on the way. More than $12 billion in development in downtown’s urban core exemplifies our city’s “can-do” spirit – that nothing is impossible when there is vision, purpose and drive.
Whether business or pleasure brings you to our city, we guarantee you a visit filled with unforgettable experiences. We look forward to sharing our great city with you.
- Shopping- Dallas and shopping are synonymous and with the new multi-million dollar expansions and renovations at Galleria and NorthPark Center, West Village and Allen Premium Outlets. With trailblazing fashion from the flagship Neiman Marcus department store in downtown; the oldest planned outdoor shopping center in America (Highland Park Village, shopping in Dallas is better than ever.
- Entertainment- There are over 13 entertainment districts within a short distance of downtown, each with their own local history and flavor, offering a unique mixture of arts, culture, shopping, dining and fun: Dallas Arts District, Fair Park, Deep Ellum, Main Street, Greenville Avenue, Knox-Henderson, Uptown, West Village, West End, Oaklawn, Mockingbird Station, the Bishop Arts District and the new 75-acre mixed use development, Victory Park.
- Sports- When it comes to sports, Dallas knows success is in its numbers, ranking the ninth-largest media market and among the top-five sports markets nationwide. The area boasts six professional teams: the National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys, the National Basketball Association’s Dallas Mavericks, the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars, Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers, Major League Soccer’s FC Dallas and the Arena Football League’s Dallas Desperados.
